Mitsubishi NZ & AUS | 2019

When Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand wanted an experience to recognise the achievements of their 'Diamond Rewards' staff winners, we recommended they head to the 'Southern Hemisphere Proving Ground' (SHPG) - a world class winter vehicle testing facility located in the Cardrona Valley, near Queenstown.

We talked over all the hi-octane fun they could have in the snow with their vehicles and all the other great networking and reward opportunities of the area.  

The New Zealand Executive team agreed, recognising that this unique opportunity was a perfect way to reward performance, and align with their brand and product.

Word got across the Tasman, and next we were thrilled to hear that Mitsubishi Motors Australia would also be joining us.

We booked the days at SHPG, got into the extensive planning and logistics needed for an event like this, and watched the winter weather roll in...

Incentive & Reward programmes are a significant investment and 'moment in time' for organisations. It's critical that all components are well constructed, combine creative and fresh thinking and have accurate event and project management.  

Getting the vehicles down to Central Otago was the easy part - Mitsubishi Motors are experts in that.

Getting the expert driving instructor team was pretty straight forward too. We went straight to our friend Mike Eady of TrackTime Driving Academy. Mike is the real deal - he delivers excellent driving modules and is highly skilled in winter conditions.

We then built a customised online registration site to capture the key traveller details. Then we got busy coordinating the group of 100+ coming in from all over Australia and New Zealand over the five day period.  

Alongside the snow and ice driving experience, the week long programme involved OneNineFive booking flights, accommodation, transfers and a large number of private restaurant bookings (Jacks Point, Madam Woos, Botswana Butchery, SlowCuts, White & Wong, Millbrook, Chop Shop).

To deliver a broader experience to guests, we created a comprehensive optional experiences programme that showcased this incredible region and offered 'something for everyone'. (Shotover Jet, Wine Tour, Scenic Heli Tour, Quad-bike safari, Milford Sound cruise, Spa Treatments).  

In addition to that, there was room gifts, business sessions and those last minute requests...

Everything was ready, except that with the days counting down there was a lack of snow - and that's not ideal for a snow and ice drive experience!

Three days before the first group arrived, the snow fell...

...the night before we kicked off, the snow stopped, and the sun came out.

And it stayed that way for the four days of this incredible programme.
